Packing...what more is there to say. It's hard, annoying, overwhelming, and just plain stinks. However, it must be done. I really didn't believe it would be that hard to put clothes in a suitcase for 5 months, oh boy was I wrong. Since I am traveling to the southern hemisphere, that means it is currently summer there now, but will then turn to fall and by the time I leave, it will be winter. Do you know how to pack for three different seasons?? I most definitely do not, nevertheless I am trying my best. LAYERS LAYERS LAYERS, as my mom would say.
Besides the whole packing deal, I've had to...
1. Apply for student visa=DONE
2. Create new bank account (one I can use here and in New Zealand)=DONE
3. Get a bigger suitcase=DONE
4. Read through all the pre-departure packets and check lists= umm, not quite done!
I have approximately 12 days, 5 hours, 37 minutes, and 25 seconds until my final departure for the other side of the world...not that I am counting or anything. Still a lot to do, but am excited for what's ahead of me.
